Both the Red and Blue sides had impressive victories this weekend just gone.
Knights Edge Past Bucks Hornets in Thrilling 57-54 Victory
The North Herts Knights Reds secured a hard-fought 57-54 win over the Bucks Hornets in what proved to be a physical and intense contest from start to finish.
Facing an older, more experienced side, the Knights delivered a complete team performance to overcome a strong opponent that came out playing physical basketball. The Hornets relied heavily on their drive-and-dish offense, but the Knights’ defensive scheme proved equal to the task.
Under 16 Boys - South Conference
Aylesbury Dux U16 II 43-69 North Herts Knights U16 Blues
After the slow start we got a glimpse of what this team is capable of and probably the most physical the Blue team has played all season.
An inspired 2nd Quarter recovery inspired Knights 1 to an impressive victory against a young Aylesbury Dux Elite side on Tuesday night. After a very slow start in which the Knight amassed just four points in the 1st Period, eleven second Quarter points from Leonn Meade and two towering threes from Mark Denchfield turned the tide, Knights edging the first half by 28-27.
They Built on this surge and added five three pointers, two each from Luke Patterson and Mark Denchfield in a Third Quarter in which they truly knocked the win out of the Dux sails. The visitors clawed their way back slightly in the final quarter but an experienced Knights side buoyed by the youth of Kirian Thode and Oscar White closed out another great win at home by 64-56
