The Knights rise: U12s beat Northamptonshire Titans 75–39

We welcomed three new players into the squad today, and alongside our established second unit, they certainly lived up to their abilities. Everything we’ve been working on in training showed on the court. But the real highlight wasn’t just the fundamentals – it was the mentality and effort displayed by these young boys. They didn’t just play as a team; they competed.

It was a fast-paced match, full of sharp distribution, steals, strong drives to the hoop and a handful of confident outside shots. Our opponents were well matched, but we rose to the challenge from the opening tip.

Anchored by our superb starting five, we built a lead early and continued to grow it throughout the game. All but two players appeared on the scoresheet, but that takes nothing away from the hard work, hustle and impact of those two individuals. Every player contributed to this win.

After last week’s result, we needed a performance like this. With great support from parents and the bench, the boys delivered – and fully deserved the victory.

The motivation and confidence on display were outstanding. That comes not only from individual effort, but from the way these players supported one another – celebrating each other’s successes, encouraging each other on the court, and playing with pride.

We now have a week’s break before a tough away match-up against Cambridge Cats Black.

Go Knights.
