Welcome to the new club website

Welcome to the new North Herts Knights website! It’s been rebuilt from the ground up to make it easier to find what you need, whether you’re a player, a parent, a coach or thinking about joining us.
Live fixtures, results and league tables
Fixtures, results and league tables now come straight from PlayHQ, the system Basketball England uses to run its leagues. No more copying scores across by hand: the website checks PlayHQ every hour from 10am to 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays, and every morning, so results appear shortly after the final whistle.
The Fixtures page lists every game across the club, and you can filter it to just your team. On a phone, Upcoming and Results sit on their own tabs, so you don’t have to scroll past every fixture to find a score.

A page for every team
Each team has its own page, with the league table, the next game and the last result right at the top. Underneath you’ll find training times and venues, the coaches and team manager, a “Meet the team” carousel of players, a photo gallery, and the Junior NBL rules for that age group.

Match reports with player points
Coaches can now write match reports that are linked to the result, so a “Match report” link appears next to the score wherever it’s shown. Each report includes the final score, both clubs’ badges and every player’s points from the official PlayHQ scoresheet. Players are only ever shown by shirt number, never by name.

Community sessions
Our community programmes, NHK Roses and NHK Community, each have their own page, with a card for every session showing the day, time, venue, age groups and who runs it.

Easy to keep up to date
Behind the scenes, the website runs on a simple content editor, so our volunteers can update news, teams, training times, photos and match reports without any technical knowledge. Press publish, and the website updates within a couple of minutes.

Getting in touch
The contact form now sends your message straight to the right people, depending on what it’s about. If you’re interested in playing, look for the Register interest buttons on team pages, or check the Trials page for upcoming dates.
Thank you
A huge thank you to Ed Sparkes, who designed and built the new website, connected it to PlayHQ and set up the editor behind it. And to Rafe Abrook of Rafe Abrook Photography, whose photos you’ll see on every page.
Spotted something that needs fixing, or have an idea for the website? Get in touch. We’d love to hear from you.
